Currently (March Edition)

I am really enjoying writing these currently posts. It gives me some time to reflect and also get excited for upcoming things. You can just out my past months by clicking below.

Currently (January)
Currently (February)

Reading: I'm in a reading slump. I'm still reading The Year of Yes. It isn't that it isn't good, I'm just not finding (or making) the time to read.

Planning: My friends and I are planning a trip to Panama City, Florida in September. To say I'm excited is a huge understatement. Does anyone have any "must try" places?

Watching: The Middle. I'm obsessed and glad I didn't find it until recently. Now I can binge watch. So funny!

Trying: Fitness First Nutrition. My stuff should be in any day now and I really hope I can stick to it. I figure surely I can do this for a month.

Cooking: What is cooking? I've been slacking on this one lately. I still cook my big breakfast on the weekend but other than some simple dishes each week we are eating out of boxes and cans.

Eating: I may not be cooking but I sure am eating! I may have enjoyed too many Russel Stover eggs this month. The vanilla cream is my favorite.

Drinking: Sonic unsweet tea with lots of ice.

Thinking: It is time for me to say yes more. I'm a natural fearful person. Even if I'm not actually saying no then I am putting myself in no positions where I'm not seen.

Pinning: Lots and lots of Easter and spring ideas. You can see my Easter board by clicking here

Crafting: Jack and I have done some St. Patrick's Day canvas art. You can see them here

Going: Hopefully going to see the play Wizard of Oz on Saturday. I'm debating on whether to take Jack. He can be a little active and I hate the idea of spending that kind of money and then us having to leave.

Loving: This Thomas and Friends track tape. I think it is a little expensive for tape that when taken up has to be thrown away BUT Jack loves it. I put down a curvy track in our long hallway and he plays with it for a long time.

Dreaming: Of this weather sticking around. It was amazing this weekend. It was the kind of weekend where I could live outside. There is just something extra special about spending the whole day outside to the point where all your meals are taken (and most likely cooked) outside.

Feeling: A little discouraged. I was feeling the New Year high but it has faded some. I'm hoping that a new month will get me back on track. I'm going to spend a few minutes tonight looking at where I want to go from here. I believe it is very important to take a self inventory when you feel like things aren't going the way you would like.

Listening: Taylor Swift and I don't care who knows it. The gal gets me pumped so what can I say.

Celebrating: My upcoming 34th birthday. Oh I can't even believe I am going to be 34. It does not seem real at all. I can remember my youth too vividly to be 34. But since I have to turn 34 I am going to eat cake and steak.

Improving: Me. I'm a constant work in process and I like that. I'm always willing to take a look at myself and try to become a better person.

  1. Ah, 34... I remember it well. Overall, I loved my 30s. It was a great decade. Happy upcoming Birthday!

I have heard such mixed reviews about The Year of Yes. It seems like most people I know (who have read it) either love it or hate it.

  3. Have you ever read The Best Yest by Lysa TerKeurst? It was a great read and definitely made me rethink about the things I'm saying yes or no to. I love Taylor Swift, love Sonic ice and your cake + steak birthday plans sound delicious :)
