Weekend Recap

Why do the weekends fly by? One moment I'm driving home on Friday afternoon and before I know it Monday morning has rolled right back around and I'm driving back to work.

Thankfully we packed in fun and rest over the weekend so at least I feel like it was time worth spent even if the time went by too quickly.

Friday night we kept things calm and just sat at the house. We went to bed early so we could wake up bright and early and enjoy every second of the beautiful weather.

Saturday morning I cooked us a big breakfast so we could fuel up for a day outside. At ten that morning we walked over to my sister's house to play.

Little Miss Maybree is sooooo close to rolling over. My sister and I both kept recording because it seemed like she was going to do it any second. Of course, she didn't but she got so close.

After hanging with my sister for about an hour we headed back home so we could play outside. My dad put Jack in a tree and Jack LOVED it. He wasn't scared at all and when he got him down he kept begging to get back in the tree. I see broken bones in his future.

We played outside for several hours. We blew bubbles, swung, jumped on the trampoline, ran around, played basketball, and made holes in the dirt. Jack and my newphew Bennett absolutely loved chasing the bubbles. Bubbles always remind me of the simpleness of childhood. The enjoyment they get from trying to bust the bubbles is so sweet and precious.

At three I took Jack to my sister's house and headed out for a girls night out. It had been awhile and I may have been too excited. We spent a few hours just talking on my friend's porch and then went and saw Ward Davis play at a place called The River

We stayed out until 2 am. Y'all I haven't done that in forever and boy did I feel it the next day. It was worth it for the memories. We danced. I can't remember the last time I danced and my legs are feeling it. Oh to be young again. A night out takes more time to recover from than the time I spent out. I'm disappointed that we didn't get a group picture. We are the worst about remembering to take pictures. We don't see each other nearly enough so we are gabbing it up.

We did get a few details worked out for our beach trip in September. I'm even more excited now that we have picked a place to stay and a few places to eat and things we want to do. I haven't been to the beach in 8 years so a beach trip is way overdue.

I hope everyone had an enjoyable weekend. The weather was gorgeous here and I hope it is here to stay for awhile. Before we know it the summer heat will be upon us so I'll take all these spring-like days we can get.

What Jack's Wearing (Spring 2016)

Today I wanted to share with you several items I've recently purchased for Jack. We have lots of hand me downs from his older cousin Bennett that he will be rocking this spring but I also wanted to add some new items as well. All of these items were either purchased on Amazon or from Old Navy.

Board Books

As a librarian, I really want my child to enjoy reading. Jack has shown little to no interest. I tried different books and even different methods of reading. It just wasn't his thing-until recently. I bought Jack this book for Christmas.

The other day he brought it to me and then he actually sat there while I read it to him. I had to check the boy for fever. This was so out of the ordinary. He then "read" the book to me. I could tell that he had actually been listening.

As we read the book, we counted the cars. I would ask him what color they were. I wanted him to really look at the illustrations to enjoy the book even more.

Since we had such a success with this book, I picked up this Easter book.

There were a few different Easter books at Wal-Mart but ultimately decided on this book because it focused on counting and colors. Jack enjoys this book as well but brings me the truck me often.

I originally picked the truck book because Jack has loved the word stuck for a long time. Whenever he is put into anything where he is strapped down he says "I stuck".

After two successful books I have purchased a third.

We are working on body parts so I thought this book would be a good option. I'm excited about it coming in tomorrow.

What board books does your child enjoy?

Week 14 Goals Recap + Week 15 Goals

Week 14 Goals

1// Get my headlight changed. I just found out today that my left one is out. I'm sure my dad can handle this one. Who knew changing a low beam headlight would take so much work? We watched several YouTube videos on how to get this done without dropping the bumper. On Saturday my brother in law's friend came over and he took a look at it. They worked for at least at hour before it got done. I contributed a 12 pack for their efforts.

2// Finish a Year of Yes. I don't think this will be too hard since I'm loving it. I haven't finished it yet but I'm close. I love it...like really love it. This book will make you think and I can't recommend it enough.

3// Drink lots more water. I need to get better at this. I'll get in a groove and then jump right out of it.

4// Do 2 canvas art pieces with Jack for St. Patrick's Day.

5// Put out St. Patrick's Day decor.

6// Pay bills and other debts (I get paid on Friday). I could mark this off partially. I'm waiting on my new checks to finish this one up.

7// Put together my birthday wish list. My birthday is the 15th of March and I know my family wants some ideas. I already know one items was purchased...so pumped!

8// Take Jack to get his haircut. Jack is never going to get a haircut. I had to cancel the appointment he had because my back was just too messed up. She said she would reschedule. I didn't hear from her. I wrote her back a few days later and she said she was busy. I then took him to the little hair place inside Wal-Mart and no one could do it that day.

9// Make appointment for Jack to get his hearing checked. He isn't having any issues but they have to get tested at school and he wouldn't cooperate so I have to get our PCP to sign off.

10// Get a printout of Jack's immunizations.

11// Call my student loan company to answer their question about how often I get paid.

12// Start online shopping for Jack's Easter outfit. This will be a fun one.

13// Research a good cause. I think it is time to focus on one cause that is important to me. I want Jack to grow up knowing that we support _________. I think if I narrowed things down a little I could make a bigger difference. Choosing a cause or charity isn't an easy task. There is so much out there and some controversy with certain charities. I want to do my research first. There is a girl (one I actually taught when she was in high school) and I see how the great work she is doing for pets. It has nothing to do with her job but is something that she is passionate about. When I see where she has saved an animal it makes me so proud. It also makes me feel down that I'm not making that type of difference.

14// Purge Jack's toys once again. I've repurposed a storage bin with six compartments and I want it all to fit in it and his toy box. Currently he is using a crate, a toy box, and the space under the roll top desk. I didn't mention the block containers in the back bedroom nor all the trains under every piece of furniture we own.

This was not my finest week of getting things accomplished. In my defense, my back has/had (I think I'm on the mend) been pretty messed up. I had to take it really easy and didn't walk during my lunch break at all last week. I hope to get back to things this week.

Week 15 Goals

1// Get Jack a haircut.

2// Do workout video 2 times this week.

3// Walk 3 of my lunch breaks.

4// Complete tasks 9-14 from last week.

5// Bring my lunch to work 3 times this week. I really want to try and make my own lunchable type meals.

I'm keeping it pretty simple this week since I have so many tasks to complete from last week. My biggest focus is getting back to working out.

St. Patrick's Day Decor

Saturday I packed up our Valentines decor and put out the St. Patrick's Day items.

I found this cute printable and framed it.
St. Patricks Day Blessing with gold polka dots at Blooming Homestead

Jack and I did a few art projects.

The Lucky banner came from here.

I left the plant that was there and added a shamrock on the pot. I also left the birds because they fit with the spring-like weather we're having. I added a green glass piece that I found for cheap.

I also picked up these items to make a little closer to St. Patrick's Day.

I absolutely love any and all holidays and decorating for them is my favorite. I love the pop of festive decor and I love celebrating!

Do you decorate for St. Patrick's Day?

My Beautiful Disaster

The house is currently a disaster. Like I wouldn't even want Charlie Sheen walking into this place. He would even have the right to judge.

Jack loves it when I pick up his toys. He'll take the containers that house his toys and dump them over like he is helping me. Like I'm playing 52 card pick up and instead of cars it is 157 trains and 1379 blocks. I hate to disappont with him being so excited. He even claps and says "good job". I'll say "Jack, you made a mess". He just claps and says "yay mess".

Drops toy. Walk away.

Thankfully I have fictional shows that make me feel like the in crowd for having a messy house. All the cool moms are doing it.

Jack threw his first big boy tantrum tonight and it was adorable. I was holding in my laughter so hard that I had to rush him in his room and close the door so he wouldn't see how much it was making me giggle.

This will be the only time I will find this adorable so I wanted to enjoy it. He said so plainly "you are making me mad" and when I took him by the hand to take him to his room he screamed "bad choice". Y'all he was so dang cute.

I wanted to document this cuteness to remind me when I'm sitting in the corner shaking trying to get the wine in my mouth.

Weekly Happenings

This week has been random.

Like very random. I've had some sucky things going on and also some really amazing things too. For sure a week of highs and lows and not boring.

Saturday I was reminded that I am no longer a spring chicken. I moved all the furniture and cleaned underneath it all. I started having cramping in my hip not long afte I finished. The pain traveled to my back and spread down my leg. It was awful! I made it to Monday and called the doctor first thing that am. He said he believed it was the sciatic nerve. He gave me some meds and I hurried home. Tuesday I went to work but had to leave early. By Wednesday the pain had switched sides and it was my right side that was causing me all the misery. I've called my doctor and haven't gotten a call back. I'm going to continue with the meds and reevaluate things come Monday.

Even with all the pain I've still managed to experience some great things.

Jack and I sat down for a few minutes and did a little St. Patrick's Day art. I've also printed off a cute St. Patty's Day printable. I hope to finish putting out the little bit of the green and gold decor that I own.

I've been working on my New Year's Resolutions and I'm happy that even though it is only February 19, I'm still doing great.

A woman at work is selling Fitness First products. It is expensive (at least in my mind) but I'm thinking about doing it. It will be difficult but I really want the jumpstart. I'm suppose to get a free sample so I can taste the meal replacement shakes. If I like the taste of the shake, then I'll give it a try for a month.

I'm still learning to use my Smashbox make-up kit. I tried contouring yesterday morning and it did not go well. I've been watching Youtube videos and reading blogs to learn more. I didn't realize how it REALLY looked until I got outside in the car. The picture above is after lots of blending. Natural light really changes things up. This picture was also taken the morning of my lucky day.

Why did I call this my lucky day?

I won $700 on scratch off tickets!!!!!!!!!!!!

Y'all I was shocked. That is an understatement. I'm not a huge lottery ticket buyer. I had a $10 winning ticket that I had bought awhile back. I decided to cash it in for another ticket and won $100. I cashed it in and bought my family supper. I still had about $50 left so I stopped in the gas station to fill up. I bought another ticket thinking well it is free money anyways. I hit for $500! On the way home from work yesterday I thought I would press my luck and bought a ticket. I won $200!

Believe me I am having to stop myself from taking off to go shopping.

I am however excited to pay off some debt. I did say that this was the year I was going to pay off debt so what an amazing blessing!

This weekend is suppose to be beautiful and we plan on taking full advantage! My niece and nephew are spending the day and tomorrow night with us and I'm so excited. I love seeing the amazing relationship between the cousins.

I Want Y'all to See My Favorite Pins Too

Favorite hand held dessert

These cookie bars are so delicious. Sometimes I replace the chocolate chips with holiday M&Ms to make them festive. Every recipe from her blog is simple to make and doesn't have a ton of ingridents. I usually end of pinning every recipe she posts.

Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars (aka Pan Chewies) - our family's go-to Sunday Night Dessert!

Favorite fork dessert

I love all of these seperately so together I'm in love. I love a good trifle but a fruit one is my favorite but I also love a good chocolate one also.

Favorite Side Dish

Am I the only one who loves the side dishes more than the main course? If you ever need a wonderful side then here you go. These wrapped green beans are delicious!

KEEPER: Bacon-wrapped green beans. The brown sugar/garlic butter on top really did the trick. Well, and the bacon. Because, bacon.:

Favorite Snack

I am really addicted to these. So much so that I can only make them a few times a year because I'll eat the whole batch. I've never met anyone who didn't love these. What I really love is that they are each to adapt to your liking. I don't like them too hot so I make my portion of the batch with less red pepper. If you ever need a quick, simple, and cheap snack to bring then these are perfect.

Spicy Hot Crackers:

Favorite St. Patty's Day Pin

As Jack grows older, I'm enjoying holidays even more. No matter how small the holiday, it is still fun finding little ways to celebrate. We are going to give this a try this year.

Favorite Spring Pin

I sure hate eating carrots but I'm going to love making these cuties with my Jack's little feet.

Spring Handprint Art {Bunny and Carrots} love these carrots, might need to put these in our class garden mural....:

Favorite Easter Pin

I made one of these last year. It didn't turn out perfect but it did turn out too cute. We will be making a repeat one of these again before Easter.

Future Home is in the Works

We are far away from building my future home. I'm thinking possibly a year.

My dad has drawn it out.

My dad is a contractor. He built their house and my sister's house. He has built other homes as well but from day to day he mostly does remodeling.

I explained to my dad what I wanted in Jack and I's home and then let him do the smart work. I don't have a lot of requests. I want two bedrooms, an open living room, a nice size laundry room, and a big front porch (not pictured).

My parents own 5 acres and when my sister built their house they bought part of the land. We have laid down the flags in two different locations for my house. I like one over the other but my dad thinks the other may be the better option due to plumbing or pipes or something else I don't understand. He is doing what he does to figure that out.

This is the view of my sister's house from the flags of the location that I like the best. The brown muddy spot is where my dad grows his tomatoes in the spring/summer. He has a big garden area in the back but this is his tomato area. He said he could easily move it.

I really really really want a screened in back porch. My dad says no because he knows it will get too dirty because we basically live surrounded by fields. My parents have a house length back porch but it has windows with screens on them. I know that each time the wind gets going or the rain starts flowing then we have we run and close the windows. I know he knows best but I still wish, you know?

Although we are very early into this project, I'm still over the top excited.

Be prepared for many updates as we work through this process.

Week 13 Goals Recap + Week 14 Goals

Week 13 Goals

1// Buy chocolate bars to make my Valentine candy bars for my co-workers.  I didn't end up with candy bars but I did end up with something just as cute. You can see what I came up with here.

2// Find a Valentine's gift for my mom and assistant. I'm thinking about doing pedicures. I didn't do a pedicure for my assistant. I found a really cute frame and stoled a picture of her grandkids from Facebook and put it in it. It turned out really cute. My mom got a pedicure.

3// Make cookies for Jack's daycare. Well it wasn't cookies but Jack and I did make Valentine cupcakes and they loved them.

4// Write out February work goals. Done and I've already marked a few things off.

5// Do cardio twice this week.Ha! I did drop 4 pounds but I'm sure I gained them back over the weekend. I weigh again on Thursday.

6// Order treats for 3 kiddos here at school that I always buy stuff for on holidays.  I wish every kid got something delivered for Valentine's Day.

7// Drink that H2O! I did better during the week that I've done in the past two weeks but I didn't do so great over the weekend.

Week 14 Goals

1// Get my headlight changed. I just found out today that my left one is out. I'm sure my dad can handle this one.

2// Finish a Year of Yes. I don't think this will be too hard since I'm loving it.

3// Drink lots more water.

4// Do 2 canvas art pieces with Jack for St. Patrick's Day.

5// Put out St. Patrick's Day decor.

12// Start online shopping for Jack's Easter outfit. This will be a fun one.

13// Research a good cause. I think it is time to focus on one cause that is important to me. I want Jack to grow up knowing that we support _________. I've set myself up for a very busy week but I believe I've got this.  If I manage to accomplish all of these things then I'm going to reward myself with a pedicure or a haircut/dye/style. This is the first time I've brough rewards into this whole weekly goal thing but I have a lot of goals and if I do it all then I for sure deserve a prize.

V-Day 2016 is in the Books

Let me start with saying that nothing I do will make this left justification work. #bloggerproblems

This boy is getting bigger and bigger every day and learning so much. The other day he called me "mean mama" which turned out to be cuter than I thought it would.

At the last minute I made this tag and stapled them to a small bag of chips. All along I had planned on doing chocolate bars wrapped with a cute Valentine saying for my co-workers. With it only being the second month of 2016, a lot of our teachers are dieting and well being an elementary school we already have a lot of chocolate around. The chips were a big hit.

Staying on the diet was extra hard on Friday. I received so much candy. I also got this wonderful smelling soap and the tag attached is just too much cuteness. (now my left justification is working-go figure)

Jack also walked away with a bag full of loot. This is the first class party I missed and boy did I hate missing it. When he got home we went through his bag and we both had a few bites. He wanted the chocolate and I wanted the Airheads.

We have eaten chocolate or candy for dessert with every meal. Eggs, biscuits, bacon and a chocolate heart. Sloppy joes with a side of fun dip. All that chocolate and candy we had on Friday just might be extinct come Monday morning. Isn't that what you are suppose to do-get rid of it all.

I had to buy bacon this morning and the store was stocked with peeps, Reese peanut butter eggs, jelly beans, and lots of other candy like those Russell Stover nests made with coconut.

Holidays ruin diets.

Friday I came home to precious cards from two wonderful bloggers Whitney and Tabitha. Snail mail is a wonderful thing. Bloggers are keeping the mailmen (or in our case mailwomen) in business.

Olive did such an amazing job painting her card. This is the second year getting a card from Tabitha. Both ladies had the sweetest things to say and sure make a gal feel special.

Ran into Wal-mart for milk and walked out with 8 of these bad boys.

This picture does not do it justice-they were huge. I figured if I were getting chocolate then I needed wine and if I were getting wine then I needed new pajamas and if I had new pajamas then I needed a new book.

These were very dangerous chocolate dipped strawberries.

I had a lovely night so it was worth it all.

I'm in love with this book. It is like reading posts from your favorite blogger. Shonda is smart and oh so funny. I can't believe I waited this long to pick up this book. If you haven't read it, stop what you are doing and add it to your shopping list, or goodreads, or Kindle, or forehead. You will love it-promise.

Have you read Year of Yes? If so, what did you love about it?

Learning to Wait

I'm impatient. Like really impatient.

It is not a quality I enjoy but it's me and I'm learning to work through it.

When I bought my first house I REALLY wanted a house. I had been paying an outrageous amount of rent and I want a place of my very own that I could do with whatever I wanted. I wanted a house so badly that I pretty much bought the first thing in my budget that I liked well enough. Yeah, not the smartest criteria.

It didn't take me long to realize I had made a hasty decision. It wasn't an awful house but there were some things that were must haves that I wavered on once I realized I could be moving into my own house. Several days I had to live with my choice and that isn't how you should feel.

Sometimes it works in my favor. Nine years ago I was teaching high school history and wasn't really loving it. The "kids" were a little rougher than I think I am made to handle. Work wasn't my happy place and I wanted a change.

One day I saw a sign in the bathroom about a masters program and I signed up that day. Eighteen months later I had a new addition to my teaching license and three months before that I was hired to be JBE's new school librarian. Life was moving quickly because I was impatient.

The biggest decision of my life was made with the same impatient mind. I got married and started a family. Even when the warning whistles were going off I had my eyes on the prize-a family of my own. This decision isn't one I regret because I got the greatest gift from it-Jack. Regardless of the blessings I received, it was a decision of impatience.

Sometimes my impatient works out and sometimes it does not.

What I take away from this is that I could still walk away with wonderful things in my life and still be patient.

I'm in another phase in my life where I want to rush.

I have to learn to be still. I have to learn to love what I have. I have to appreciate what I know. Living in the moment now can be rewarding.

But being patient is hard-like really hard.

I want what I want and I want it now.

I can't let that attitude get in the way with what I have now. Right now I have to sit in my time. Let things unfold slowly.

The work has to be done. The time has to be put in. I have to learn to wait.

Valentine Thank You Cards

Teachers work really hard. Imagine lots of little children hyped up on candy-it isn't an easy job. However, it is a sweet job. I got loaded down with candy and other goodies on Valentine party day.

I really enjoy sending thank you notes. Even the smallest of gifts deserve a thank you card. It is also important to me that my students see me sending thank you notes. I want them to see the importance of being thankful. Saying thanks is important but there is just something a little extra about giving a written thank you note.

I want to share the thank you note I created using picmonkey.com

Happy Valentine's weekend!

I Must Confess

This week I'm joining Jessica from The Newly to share my confessions. We all have them and sharing them is so much fun. And, well, reading others are even more fun.

I must confess:

1// If it gets to the mid-50's I am rolling down the window, blaring the music, and singing my heart out. It really is my happy place and I am sure I look ridiculous.

2// I love Teen Mom OG. I know I shouldn't, but I do. It is my most favorite guilty pleasure.

3// I'm not buying Jack anything for Valentine's Day. I'm cooking him his favorite breakfast and we are going to do a fun activity together but no actual present is coming his way. Why? Well, he goes to daycare and he is going to be getting a massive amount of all things Valentine. No reason buy anything extra when he is going to have tons.

4// Breaking out "the real camera" is always an afterthought. #bloggerfail

5// I haven't shaved my legs in too long. Why? Well usually when I'm in the shower Jack is at the door screaming "mama. mama. mama where are you?". It isn't the most ideal way to shower.

6// I wore the same socks two days in a row this week because I could not find another pair of my boot socks. The real sad part is they didn't even match.

7// Inappropriate ecards really make me laugh. you can look at my favorites by clicking here.

8// Speaking of inappropriate, Jack says "shit" and it is my fault and I don't correct him. It slips when I drop something or I hurt myself. Sometimes I'll try to correct it mid-way but it is now a part of his vocabulary. I hate to correct him when I can't even correct myself.

9// I'm loving my bullet journal but I wish I was more artistic. I can draw nothing. I'm in love with the bullet journals that have cool drawings inside.

10// I'm planning a beach trip with my gal pals. I'm looking forward to it bunches and bunches HOWEVER I have serious anxiety about leaving Jack for that long with me that far away. I try not to think about it but it weighs on my mind.

Well that's all the confessions I have for you this week.

Have a LOVELY Valentine's weekend!

Three Things Thursday

Today I'm linking up with one of my favorite bloggers Megan from Absolute Mommy.

Jack and I have had a good week but nothing too eventful (just the way I like it). Monday we are out of school and I am looking forward to a whole day with no agenda. Sunday we will celebrate Valentine's Day and I want to come up with something fun for us to do but I have zero ideas right now. Also, it is going to be freezing this weekend. I plan on making a Valentine themed breakfast. I'm thinking pancakes with sprinkles. I'm loving these (mine wouldn't be the healthy version though).

Valentines Day Funfetti Pancakes with Vanilla Greek Yogurt Sauce | ChezCateyLou.com

Yesterday afternoon Jack and I made Valentine cupcakes for the ladies who care for him Monday-Friday. I couldn't ask for better people to care for my baby. They deserve cupcakes and a million dollars. We really enjoyed putting these together. Jack got the cupcake liners in the pans. He also really enjoyed making them pretty. My mom dropped them off this morning and I hope they all enjoy them.

I saw this ecard and thought it went perfect with my one little word. It also went really well with my current situation. For the past month I've been walking and keeping up with it with my Fitbit and bringing my lunch which was lots more healthy than my usual McDonald's run. Even with all that I hadn't lost a pound. I needed to change things up. I gave up Dr. Pepper for unsweet tea. I stopped bringing chips with my sandwich and replaced it pickles. I've also replaced my breakfast with a shake. I'm tracking my food and counting my calories. It's not fun but it's working. If I stick with it I know I will make progress.

Week 12 Goals Recap + Week 13 Goals

Week 12 Goals Recap

1// Finish my taxes. I've been waiting for some papers from daycare. I talked to the director and she said we would get them this week. Yay me! I have even gotten back my state taxes already (and spent them-ha).

2// Workout three times. It's time I start to add in more cardio. I am meeting my step count so I'll be moving that up but I still want to add in more calorie busting cardio. See, what had happened was....okay I was lazy. My lack of dedication is crushing me.

3// Purchase a Valentine's gift for my mom, my librarian assistant, and my Secret Pal. I have zero ideas. I am going to do Valentine wrapped candy bars for my co-workers. I had also thought about doing a hot chocolate bar with donuts. I'll make up my mind closer to Valentine's Day. This was a total loss. I did get my Secret Pal her gift and also a few gifts for other friends and my sister.

4// Do "love you to pieces" Valentine art with Jack. Although I love this idea I've decided it just isn't in the cards for us this year. We (I) cut out hearts and Jack painted them.

5// Drink lots of water. Last week I didn't do too great on the water because I was sick most days. Am I the only one who hates the taste of water when they are sick? Nope. I have got to do better.

6// Search for a banner for March. Yeah I'm talking March. It just takes me awhile to make stuff since I usually only get to be crafty when Jack is sleeping. Once I find the idea, I have to start gathering supplies.  I have some cute decor things planned. Holiday decor makes my heart smile.

7// Sit down with my dad and work out details on my future home. My dad is a contractor and has been drawing up plans. He wants to sit down and get my opinion on a few things. Y'all are probably wondering what I even did this past week.

8// Get myself well! I have been battling this crud for over a week now. Just when I think I'm getting better, it comes back. I'm ready to feel 100%!  I am marking this off because I feel well today but no so much on Saturday. This sickness really just keeps coming and going. My brother in law that lives next door was diagnosed with the flu last Monday and his little boy is home sick today. It is surrounding me and nothing like working at a school to get some germs.

Week 13 Goals

1// Buy chocolate bars to make my Valentine candy bars for my co-workers.

2// Find a Valentine's gift for my mom and assistant. I'm thinking about doing pedicures.

3// Make cookies for Jack's daycare.

4// Write out February work goals.

5// Do cardio twice this week.

6// Order treats for 3 kiddos here at school that I always buy stuff for on holidays.

7// Drink that H2O!

I don't have a lot of goals for this week because we will be packing in lots of Valentine stuff with painting, using stickers, eating Valentine themed food, baking, and just celebrating love. I hope y'all have a great week full of celebration and accomplishment.

Weekend Shenanigans

I was a bad blogger this weekend and didn't take as many pictures as I would have liked. I was too busy enjoying myself.

Friday night and Saturday were very low key. The weather was fairly nice on Saturday so Jack and his cousin Bennett played outside for awhile and I got to stay inside and catch up on some tv.

We did celebrate Eat Ice Cream for Breakfast day on Saturday. These heart candies are so cute and yummy.

Sunday morning I decided that I really needed to do some shopping. My mom agreed to watch Jack and I headed out for a shopping day by myself. You can really get a lot done when you are shopping on your own.

I first hit up Target with a side of Starbucks. I got my Secret Pal lots of goodies that I know she is going to love. I also picked up a few things for some sweet friends. I spent $100 dollars easy in Target but walked away with so many wonderful things.

Next on the agenda was Old Navy. I found myself two new shirts, Jack a couple shirts on clearance, and my niece Maybree the most precious sleeper.

Since Kirklands was right beside Old Navy I popped in there and found an Easter door hanger for my Secret Pal and a wooden Easter sign for myself. I just love Kirklands! Items are reasonable priced and adorable-two of my favorite things.

My last stop was JC Penney. I found Jack a couple shirts. We have too many pants and really too many shirts but they were on sale so what could I do? You know how it is.

I splurged on myself and bought a Smashbox kit. I'm excited about watching some demo videos and getting the best use of it.

Then I needed to hurry and get back home to enjoy the Super Bowl. My parents were cooking fish with all the trimmings. For dessert my mom made brownies and no bake cookies. Right after she made the cookie mix she poured it over the brownies. The cookie mix hardened up on top of the brownies just like the cookies would. Y'all, I'm serious when I say it was delicious.

The whole family was ecstatic with the Broncos win. My favorite commercial was the ultrasound Doritos commercial. I thought Lady Gaga did an amazing job and I'm glad she turned down the Gaga for the National Anthem.

I hope everyone has a wonderful week full of all things LOVE.
