Leprechaun Treat Bag

When I saw this St. Patrick's Day treat bag I knew I wanted to recreate it.

I decided just to stick with the leprechauns but there is a rainbow option.

Here are the supplies:

+ 3 x 5 cellophane bags (I bought mine here)

+ couple bags of Rolos

+ this leprechaun printable

+ a couple of sheets of tissue paper ( I bought a couple different looks from the dollar store)

+ clothes pins

Directions:

1. Print off the number of leprechauns you need and cut out.

2. Put desired number of Rolos in cellophane bag (I went with 5)

3. Cut tissue paper into 5x5 or 4x4 (Somewhat Simple did 5 inches and I went with 4 inches) and fold it accordion style.

4. Tape or glue leprechaun to clothespin.

5. Clothespin the tissue paper onto the folded down cellophane bag.

There you have it-a cute and not so simple St. Patrick's Day treat bag. Sometimes cuteness is more important than simplicity.

I know the little sweeties in Jack's class will enjoy this festive treat.

St. Patrick's Day Decor

Saturday I packed up our Valentines decor and put out the St. Patrick's Day items.

I found this cute printable and framed it.
St. Patricks Day Blessing with gold polka dots at Blooming Homestead

Jack and I did a few art projects.

The Lucky banner came from here.

I left the plant that was there and added a shamrock on the pot. I also left the birds because they fit with the spring-like weather we're having. I added a green glass piece that I found for cheap.

I also picked up these items to make a little closer to St. Patrick's Day.

I absolutely love any and all holidays and decorating for them is my favorite. I love the pop of festive decor and I love celebrating!

Do you decorate for St. Patrick's Day?

Green Eggs Toddler Activity

Jack's daycare is going to do a combination of Green Eggs and Ham and St. Patrick's Day on Tuesday. They asked parents to have their child wear green and bring any treats or activities that would go along with Green Eggs and Ham and St. Patrick's Day. I decided that I would contribute an activity. First I found this printable at Mommy Lessons 101.

I then wrote a letter of the alphabet on each one. I then laminated and cut them out.

You can have your toddler practice using a spatula to flip the eggs and recognize the letters or you can have them to just flip them over. To extend the activity you can have your little one trace the letters.

Do you have any activities planned for your little one on St. Patrick's Day?
